What can be done?

Taking responsibility: acting without laying blame

It's wrong to think that parents are always responsible for their children's actions.  The issues of running away and the activities of the street are a symptom of greater problems.  A youth always acts with a reason and may have various motivations, not necessarily related to you.

  • Above all, we seek to end isolation.
  • Asking for the help of experienced intervention workers is the first step toward understanding a complex situation.  You will find as well tools and the strength to re-establish communication.
  • Re-take control of your role as a parent, without blaming yourself.
